Research Fellow

Dr. Ingmar Lippert conducts research and teaching at our institute with a focus on how the digital, the social and the environmental meet. Ingmar Lippert investigates the situated politics at the heart of a society that seeks to be simultaneously digital and sustainable; for that he analyses the structures and detailed relations between power, knowledge, technology and society

Ingmar Lippert currently co-edits the international open access journal Science & Technology Studies. He has published, amongst others, in Science as Culture, Science & Technology Studies, Geoforum, Ephemera, Big Data & Society, Computational Culture, Leviathan. 

Before he joined out institute, Ingmar Lippert was, inter alia, Associate Professor at the Technologies in Practice Research Group at IT University of Copenhagen, he has been Lecturer at the Tembusu College at National University of Singapore and was a fellow for instance of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Science, Technology and Society (Graz) or the Käte Hamburger Kolleg: Cultures of Research, an International Center for Advanced Studies in Philosophy, Sociology, and History of Science and Technology at RWTH Aachen University. He has taught e.g. at Lancaster, Salzburg, Berlin, Cottbus and Kopenhagen.
